Frontinus excursion to the Roman Canal in the Eifel - an unforgettable experience

41 participants took part in the water history excursion to the Roman Canal in the Eifel region on 12 and 13 April 2024. All those who experienced this excursion will have very fond memories of it. The report on this excursion is now available.

Board and Presidium of the Frontinus Society newly elected

At the General Assembly of the Frontinus Society (12.04.2024), the Executive Board was newly elected for the term of office 01.07.2024 to 30.06.2026. As a result, the Board also re-elected a the Presidium.

Frontinus Medal awarded to Prof. Christer Bruun, PhD

On the occasion of the International Congress "Bathing Culture in Budapest" (Sept. 8-15, 2022) in Budapest, Prof. Christer Bruun, PhD was awarded the Frontinus Medal on Sept. 9, 2022 in recognition of his foundational work on Roman water systems, in particular his research on hydraulic epigraphy, and to acknowledge the vast contribution of this for larger social questions in the ancient Mediterranean world.

International conference of the Frontinus Society Bathing Culture in Budapest successfully ended

From September 8 to 15, 2022, the international symposium of the Frontinus Society on bathing culture in Budapest took place - a complete success! 47 participants from 13 different nations experienced the lecture and excursion program.
