Frontinus Library

The library of the Frontinus Society contains literature on the history of pipelines, energy and water technology. We offer an online catalogue with over 6.000 titles on the history of gas, water,and sanitationsystems.

The catalogue contains bibliographical information (not the literature itself) for more than 7.700 titles, including:

• over 6.600 titles from the library of the FrontinusSociety (books, commemorative publications, essays, lectures and literature on non-historical topics)
• over 300 titles from the DVGW library published before 1945
• over 300 commemorative publications on anniversaries of (DVGW-member) companies, especially municipal utilities

The library is located at the DVGW in Bonn, Josef-Wirmer-Str. 1-3 (Germany). The books of the library cannot be borrowed as it is a reference library. The library can be used in the morning by arrangement by calling +49-228-9188-612. We ask for your understanding that the members of the Frontinus Society have priority.
